Thesis: The Anoir Chronicles
For my thesis, I created an animated webcomic trailer for my original story, The Anoir Chronicles. From script to storyboard to production art to final sound mastering, the goal of this project is to entice young adult audiences to like and subscribe to the story of Raven Thrandir, and create an entertaining teaser trailer.
The Anoir Chronicles follows Raven Thrandir, as her mysterious past is thrust upon her shortly before graduation. She must navigate a family she didn’t know she left behind, and a magical world of responsibilities she never asked for.
Post Production
My original art rendering layers in Photoshop, with all my artistic layers used to color and create lighting effects
I flattened all my rendering layers into individual objects, ready to be transferred and manipulated in After Effects.
In After Effects, I added animation along with various coloring, camera, and special effects to create each individual scene.
After creating each scene, I combined all the clips with the finished narration in Premiere. Here, I also added in the final foley effects and the credits before creating the final exported movie file.
